Governor Bill Lee signed SB 2771/ HB 2544 by Senator Becky Massey, not pictured, into law on May 25, 2022. Pictured are the House sponsor, Rep. Rebecca Alexander (on the far right), Dr. Raymond Kohne, and his family, who joined Dr. Liv Brien (on the far left), current TRS President, for the signing. This law updates the current requirement that insurance plans provide coverage for mammograms within specific age and risk guidelines and clarifies that they must include all types of breast screenings, including supplemental and diagnostic procedures. The legislation was developed by and supported by the TRS and becomes Public Chapter 1068.
